Create Your Own Healthy Lifestyle

Everybody has their own idea of what a Healthy Lifestyle is. Some people shrug when you mention the words Healthy, because they are ashamed of how they have neglected to take care of themselves. Healthy Lifestyles range anywhere from Outdoor Sports to Yoga Classes and can even be a simple walk around the block. Anything to get yourself moving is better than nothing. Our brains and bodies need oxygen to function and without moving, our bodies and minds stop working like they used to. There is a saying “If you don’t move your body, you won’t be able to.” Running is not for everyone, some people get huge benefits from walking fast and not having pressure on the knees from running. Yoga is a great way to get oxygen to your limbs and get fit. It’s not stressful and it makes you feel good inside and out. Making a Lifestyle change must be a commitment. It’s something your gradually work into your life. Don’t go out and buy equipment you’ve never used before and try to be something you’re not. Too many people buy new work-out clothing and join a Gym and then they quit. It’s either the inconvenience of the drive over there, or they lost interest. I highly recommend a little rebounder (mini trampoline) and bounce on it for 20 minutes a day. It really helps get the blood flowing.

Everyone I meet lately tells me they need to eat better, but they just fall right back into the slump of eating cheap and convenient food. Health Food does cost a few cents more than cheap food. I see people who spend hundreds on their kids gym shoes, but won’t spend a dollar more for whole grain bread. They complain about the cost of organic produce, but spend $4,000 on new rims for their car. Our priorities should be “Health First”. If you have a million dollars in the bank and don’t have your health, you have nothing.
